DB Newsroom: Dunham-Bush Co-hosts Innovative Green Solutions Seminar in Kuala Lumpur KUALA LUMPUR November 16th, 2009 Dunham-Bush participated successfully in a MASHRAE seminar with a strong focus on Innovative Green Solutions in Parkroyal Hotel, KL, Malaysia. This Seminar was designed to further Dunham-Bush’s commitment to an eco-friendly globe by introducing innovative green technologies. The Malaysian Chapter of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (also known as MASHRAE) organized the Green Solutions Seminar. Supporting the seminar were The Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) along with The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). Dunham-Bush Malaysia was the key sponsor for this MASHRAE event. The seminar was attended by Dato’ Ir. Ang Choo Hong head of JKR, Ir. Khew Swee Lian, Philip, President of MASHRAE, Ir. Stephen Phang C. F., Chairman, Building Services Technical Division of IEM, Ir Chen Thiam Leong from ACEM, Mr. Jeff Albright, CEO of Dunham-Bush along with Kamal Mohd. Noor, Managing Director of Dunham-Bush Malaysia. Attendees of the Green Solutions Seminar included more than 160 consultants, contractors, building developers and related government staff from Malaysia & overseas. Ir. Khew Swee Lian, Philip, President of MASHRAE, and Mr. Jeff Albright, CEO of Dunham-Bush, both were presenters of a welcome speech introducing the efforts to promote green solutions. Dunham-Bush focused their global agenda on the latest technologies of the air conditioning & refrigeration markets. Mr. Hew Deng Wai formally introduced the customized Ice Thermal Storage (TES) system presenting the advantages and contributions aiding towards a green environment. TES specialized systems reduce peak energy consumption while providing significant reduced operating costs to the end user. Mr. Christian Holter presented the Solar Powered Absorption Air Conditioning Systems, detailing the benefits the system contributes to efforts in an eco-friendly environment. Mr. Ole Christiansen educated the seminar attendees on the rewards of CO2 Refrigerant Systems. Ir. Chen Thiam Leong representing MASHRAE also gave an insightful lecture about the introduction of and new related incentives for the Green Building Index of Malaysia.
