Kajang, 19thth July 2010 : Dunham‐Bush Holding Bhd (“Dunham‐Bush” or the “Company”), one of the world’s top commercial air conditioning manufacturers, has started producing it`s full range of Medium size Screw Compressors (MSC) in their Kajang plant.
Over 40 years ago, Dunham‐Bush began pioneering the development rotary screw compressors for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning applications. In 1967 Dunham‐Bush patented this unique concept and became the leader in the production of vertical screw compressors. Recognized worldwide for its flexibility, reliability and compact dimensions there are over 50,000 MSC compressors installed in various applications.
Today, this unique Medium Screw Compressor is manufactured in 3 Dunham‐Bush factories; Hartford, Connecticut USA, the Dunham‐Bush plant in Shandong Province China and the Dunham Bush plant Kajang, Malaysia.
The MSC compressor is used mainly in the Dunham‐Bush water‐cooled and air cooled packaged water chillers and available with multiple refrigerants R134a, R407C, R22, R404A, R507 and with electrical supplies in 200V and 400V/3~/50Hz, 230V and 460V/3~/60Hz.
In the future Dunham‐Bush plans to produce in Malaysia, all the MSC compressors required for manufacturing in Malaysia. The first compressors were built using parts made in Hartford, Connecticut in January 2010. This new MSC production line has the initial capacity to build up to 400 MSC compressors per year.
Dunham‐Bush was founded in 1906 by Mr. C. A. Dunham and Mr. Bush and the company has been in operation ever since. Today, the company has its global head quarters in Kajang, and employs over 2,000 people in 15 sales offices and 4 factories worldwide. It manufactures one of the broadest lines of commercial air‐conditioning and heating equipment in the world, as well as, offers a full suite of related services (including installation, project management, after sale maintenance, energy contracting, etc.)
