ChillerLINK

ChillerLINK is a microprocessor-based communication device designed to provide seamless, two-way translation between a Dunham-Bush microcomputer and a BACnet or MODBUS network.

The ChillerLINK module provides two serial ports (port A and B) for ChillerLINK interfacing connections and one port for a BACnet system operation on ARCNET at 156 kbps. Port A is hardware jumper configurable for EIA-232 or EIA-485. Port B is standard EIA-232.

Port A and Port B can each be assigned different protocols. One port will be connected to the Dunham-Bush microcomputer and the other port will be connected to either BACnet or MODBUS. Each protocol can communicate with the other ports protocol or with the CMnet.

The ChillerLINK module reads values from the Dunham-Bush microcomputer and then transmits the data to the BACnet/MODBUS network when the data is requested. The ChillerLINK can read the status of Control points, digital inputs, analog inputs, or setpoints. The ChillerLINK can also be used to enable/disable the chiller package or to change desired temperatures. Contact the factory if other control functions are desired.

System Architecture

The ChillerLINK includes on EIA-232 port and one port configurable for EIA-485 or EIA-232. These ports can be used to communicate different protocols. The ChillerLINK module must be programmed before leaving the factory. Form SD202-22203 must be completed when an order is entered. This form allows specification of the device set-up and communication parameters for a specific job.
