ACFX (203 - 522 Tons)
Available from 203 to 522 tons, these units feature superior quality
and many unique design advantages. Due to the many superior engineering
features listed below, these units "average" 10.3 EER, which is over 8%
higher than ASHRAE 90.1 minimum EER.
Exceptional design features are:
- Higher capacity and higher EER achieved with the same
compressor. A 13% increase in capacity with only a 3.5%
increase in power when compared to a direct expansion cooler.
- Better part load performance due to micro-computer
control of refrigerant level to keep evaporator tubes immersed in
boiling refrigerant with no loss of surface for super heat or oil return
as in direct expansion coolers.
- Flash economizer / vapor injection cycle providing
up to 25% increase in capacity with only 10% to 15% increase in
compressor kW, resulting in higher EER.
- Excellent capacity modulation in response to
building loads due to variable orifice control of refrigerant feed to
evaporator that can maintain ±½ °F leaving water even at low loads due
to micro-processor control.
- Maximum reliability and redundancy with compressor
isolation by check valves and stop valves eliminating cross
contamination due to faulty compressor and ensuring maximum redundancy.
- Cleanable Cooler with removable heads for tube
cleaning with brushes to maintain unit efficiency due to low tube
fouling.
- Lower water side pressure drop on flooded cooler
vs. equivalent direct expansion cooler results in less pump horsepower
and leading to improved system efficiency.
- Cross condenser coils minimize wind effect and fin
damage while maximizing condenser surface, allowing more compact unit
without enhanced fins that tend to lose efficiency over time.
The ACFX line of Air-Cooled Flooded Chillers are all built on rigid
steel bases to prevent unit deflection and coil damage during rigging. All
compressors are mounted in an insulated compartment to reduce noise
breakout. You will be proud to own these fine units. ACFX Catalog | ACFX Physical Data |
